Purchasing

Since it’s not feasible for me to have all of the designs on the website in stock at all times, most items are not pre-made.  When you order a made-to-order piece, I add the style you requested to my production queue and will ship your piece to you in approximately 7-10 days.

Special edition pieces are limited edition or one-of-a-kind styles that are already made.  If you order one of these pieces will be shipped within 2 business days of placing your order.

Most of the made-to-order designs on the website are available through retailers across the United States.  Please use the “Find a Location” page to check if there is a retailer near you.  If you are looking for one specific design, email me at jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com and I’ll try to help you find a store with the specific piece you’re looking for.

Payment

Payment can be made using any major credit card or via PayPal. Checks are not accepted.

I am unable to offer gift cards at this time.

Shipping

Items listed as “Special Edition” or “One of a Kind” are pre-made and will ship within 2 business days of placing your order.  All other items are made to order and will ship within 7-10 business days.

Standard shipping for jewelry orders includes your jewelry placed in a protective box, inside a padded envelope, and includes USPS First Class shipping. The $8 flat shipping fee covers the cost of the packaging materials, shipping, and tracking.

If you cannot receive USPS packages, please email your name and shipping address to jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com to receive a UPS shipping quote.

International orders are shipped via USPS First Class Package International Service. The $15 flat shipping fee covers the cost of the packaging materials, shipping, and tracking.

Returns/Exchanges

You may return or exchange standard pieces within 7 days of receipt.  Because of the additional labor involved in custom pieces, there are no returns on special requests.

Items received as a gift may be exchanged for any other item of equal or higher price (where you pay the difference).  Please follow the instructions for regular returns/exchanges.  I am unable to issue refunds except to the original purchaser.

All returns/exchanges require a Return Authorization number and should be shipped using an insured and trackable shipping method. Jstar Jewelry Designs cannot be responsible for uninsured return packages if they are lost by the carrier.

To receive a Return Authorization number, please email jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com with your name, invoice number, and reason for return.

If the original packaging is in good condition, you can re-use that, otherwise you will be responsible for purchasing return packaging.

I will process your refund within 2 business days of receiving your return package.  The actual time until your account is credited depends on your payment institution.

If your requested piece is a made-to-order design, I will add your exchange piece to the production queue as soon as you notify me of the requested exchange, but it will not ship until I receive your return package.

Repairs & Replacements

The packaging used to ship your order should protect it, but if you do receive a damaged piece, please email jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com with a picture of the damaged item.  You will be issued a pre-paid return label, and the piece will be repaired and returned to you as soon as possible.

I do not charge to repair damage caused by normal wear and tear unless the piece requires intense labor or expensive gemstones.  Please email a picture of your damaged piece to jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com so that I can determine if the piece can be repaired.  Occasionally, the materials needed to repair a piece are no longer available… in that case, I will work with you to re-design the remaining materials into something else you can wear.

If the materials to make a single replacement are available, I can send you a single replacement at half of the normal retail price.  If your earring had gemstones on it, you may need to mail me the one you still have so that I can make sure the new mate matches.  Please email me at jessica@jstarjewelrydesigns.com to discuss your replacement.
